Ge Yao-A Bright Pearl of Traditional Chinese Culture
In Chinese language, "Ge" means old brother, so Ge Yao is also called the Old Brother Kiln. It was invented accidentally by the Song Dynasty craftsman Zhang Shengyi in Liutian County, Zhejiang Province. The most distinguished feature of Ge Yao ware would be its crackling patterns.
